Hot flashes

A sudden, temporary sensation of heat predominately experienced by some women during menopause (cessation of menstruation in the human female).

The operation of excising (removing) the uterus, performed either through the abdominal wall or through the vagina.

Incest

Sexual activity between individuals so closely related that marriage is prohibited. Incest involving a child is a form of child abuse.

The inability of a couple to achieve a pregnancy after 12 months of unprotected intercourse. Barren; Inability to conceive; Unable to get pregnant.

Lead poisoning

An environmental hazard from a lead containing component, capable of causing brain damage.

Malnutrition

Faulty or inadequate nutrition- under nourishment of substances used to feed or sustain life and growth of an organism.

Mercury poisoning

An ingestion of mercury or mercury compounds, which are toxic in relation to their ability to produce mercuric ions and may be very hazardess.

Motion sickness

A disturbance of the inner ear that is caused by repeated motion (such as sea sickness, car sickness).

Obesity

Fat or Obesity, is different than being overweight. An individual is considered obese when weight is 20% (25% in women) or more over the max. desirable for their height.

Paralysis

Loss or impairment of motor function in a part due to lesion of the neural or muscular mechanism (processes).

Plaque and tartar

Plaque is a combination of food left in mouth after eating and bacteria which live in the mouth. Tartar (calculus) is a calcium salt concentration which forms on your teeth.

Pregnancy

A baby is growing inside your uterus (womb). A full pregnancy is 40 weeks long. Pregnancy cause many changes in your body.

Root canal

The portion of the pulp cavity inside the root of a tooth; the chamber within the root of the tooth that contains the pulp. Treatment of disease and injuries of the pulp.

Sea sickness

A form of motion sickness ( disturbance of the inner ear) caused by the motion of a floating platform, such as a ship, boat, or raft.

Sexual addiction

A preoccupation; continual fantasies about sexual prospects and situations with a compulsion and ritualization of sexual activity resulting in despair and other problems.

There are three types of STD's, bacterial, viral and bugs that are spread by intimate bodily contact.

SIDS

Sudden infant death syndrome (Crib death), is the unexpected, sudden death of any infant or child under one year old in which an autopsy does not explain death cause.

Sperm counts

The number of sperm in the ejaculate (per millileter = known as the sperm concentration or sperm density).

A feeling of tension, strain, or anxiousness that can be caused by many different things. Too much stress can cause many physical (body) or emotional (mood) changes.

Tendonitis

Inflammation ( irritation or swelling) of a tendon (a fibrous, strong, connective tissue that connects muscle to bone).

Ulcers

An open sore ( where the skin and flesh are ruptured or bruised) in a body surface.

Vasectomy

A surgical sterilization procedure performed in males where a segment of the vas deferens (the excretory duct of the testes that conveys sperm) is removed.

Taking in more calories than one use causes weight gain. One pound of muscle equals about 3,500 calories. One pound of fat equals about 2,500 calories.
